This is a beautiful 9ct yellow gold intricate St Bridgets cross .The distintive shape comes from a cross made of rushes that were interwoven to welcome in the spring on st bridgets feast day on feb 1st.They were hung by the door to proctect the house from evil and fire.ST Bridget is the female patron saint of Ireland.This cross has a wonderful history and is worn by many Irish all around the world.
